Help us…. (devo reflection)

Leviticus 14:45 It must be torn down—its stones, timbers and all the plaster—and taken out of the town to an unclean place.

Loving God, Again and again during my reading of Leviticus, I hear You calling us to love deeply and not give up on Your children. Perseverance is not our default. Help us.

Leviticus 14:46 “Anyone who goes into the house while it is closed up will be unclean till evening.

Holy Father, This world can be pretty quick to give up on someone, especially someone who is struggling mightily. Your word reminds us to be present, to be observant, to check in again and again and again. Help us, especially when we are tired.

Leviticus 14:47 Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash their clothes.

Precious Savior, Thank You that You don’t give up on us. We are human and so very fallible, and You love us simply because we are Your creation. Help us to love ourselves and each other just as deeply, simply because we are Yours. Help us, Jesus. Amen.

Leviticus 14:48 “But if the priest comes to examine it and the mold has not spread after the house has been plastered, he shall pronounce the house clean, because the defiling mold is gone.

Have a blessed day.
