Leviticus 13:6 On the seventh day the priest is to examine them again, and if the sore has faded and has not spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them clean; it is only a rash. They must wash their clothes, and they will be clean.
Yesterday’s reading of commentary uncovered an analogy between leprosy and sin. Today’s reading says that if leprosy is confirmed, the only option is to cast out the leper. For me, this analogy doesn’t hold up.
Leviticus 13:7 But if the rash does spread in their skin after they have shown themselves to the priest to be pronounced clean, they must appear before the priest again.
The God I believe in is a God of profound love. He will never stop chasing us, not because He needs us but because He knows how completely we need Him. He WANTS a relationship with us. We NEED a relationship with Him. He lovingly pursues us for OUR good, not HIS.

Precious Savior, Thank You for Your complete and profound love for Your children. Thank You that You don’t cast us aside because we are too caught up in ourselves to see You clearly. Thank You that You welcome us with open arms. Always. Amen.
