Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Verse 19 is a favorite of mine. I actually was just given an ornament yesterday of an anchor with this verse on it. I love the analogy of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—anchoring me to the hope of heaven when I feel tossed about by life’s chaos.
Hebrews 6:11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.
I love the image of the anchor, sunk deep and holding fast, impervious to the wind and the waves. Life, the ocean, can be smooth as glass or as turbulent as a tempest. My boat, that’s me, can be smoothly sailing or be tossed about like a beach ball. I’m not impervious to life’s challenges, but my anchor, what keeps me grounded, absolutely is rock solid.
Hebrews 6:12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Lord, Thank You for the anchor of my faith in You. Thank You that no matter what is going on with the wind and waves of life, You are holding me firm and secure through my faith. Thank You. Amen.
Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure….
Have a blessed day.
