Our brokenness and God’s strength…. (devo reflection)

Daniel 3:4 Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “Nations and peoples of every language, this is what you are commanded to do:

When I read Daniel 3:4 this morning, the words of Micah 6:8 came swiftly to mind: “…And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” And every day we have the same choice: Do we listen to the chaos of the world or do we listen to the peace and hope of our Savior?

Daniel 3:5 As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

The world says Life is hopeless. You are the only one struggling with this issue. You’ve got to look out for yourself because no one else will. God says Share your struggles, regardless of your fears. You don’t know who needs to hear, but I do, and I’ll make sure they hear Me through your brokenness.

Daniel 3:6 Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.”

Precious Savior, Thank You that our brokenness allows room for You to infuse all the cracks in our lives with Your Spirit. Thank You that You can use that brokenness in us to remind each other that we are not alone. Thank You that You can use the messes that we are to encourage and uplift each other in Your name. Thank You. Amen.

Daniel 3:7 Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and all kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Have a blessed day.
