Psalm 103:13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
Anxiety, for me, often manifests itself as anger. If I am worried about something, there’s a good chance that I will act spitting mad. Nonsensical, yes, but here we are. Today’s verses remind me that God’s got me. Always.
Psalm 103:14a …for he knows how we are formed,
He knows me, inside and out. He loves me and those I love more than I’m even capable of loving. He even loves those whom I find prickly, and I could learn from Him there. He doesn’t want me anxious. He doesn’t want me afraid. He never promised me a smooth, easy path, but He did promise never to leave me nor forsake me, and He always keeps His promises.
Psalm 103:14b …he remembers that we are dust.
Precious Savior, I don’t like my tendency for anxiety to appear as anger in my attitude. I don’t like feeling anxious and afraid. Thank You that You invite me to lay all my worries at Your feet so that I can wrap myself in Your peace. Give me the strength to lay my burdens down and rest in You. Amen.
Psalm 103:15 The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;
Have a blessed day.
