Psalm 86:1 Hear me, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
I pray often to become more like Christ, remade in His image. As I was reading today’s scripture, I see the beautiful attributes of God so clearly.
Psalm 86:2-3 Guard my life, for I am faithful to You; save Your servant who trusts in You. You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to You all day long.
God pays attention. He listens. He doesn’t discount anyone as not worthy. He is vigilant and faithful. He is merciful and compassionate. He is trustworthy, forgiving, and abounding in love.
Psalm 86:4 Bring joy to Your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in You.
Lord, Thank You for this day and this scripture. Thank You for the beautiful picture of what it looks like to be more like You. Help me to hone and refine these traits, Lord, so that each day I am remade more in Your image. Draw me closer. Amen.
Psalm 86:5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to You.
Have a blessed day.
