1 Corinthians 3:5-6 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.
I believe that God is present and active in my life, that He created me for a purpose, assigned me a task, loves me completely and beyond measure. I believe that God created us to crave connection and community—with Him and with His people.
1 Corinthians 3:7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
I believe in the need to work together, that our stewardship of God’s resources can best be served when we lean on each other, supporting and uplifting each other as we fulfill our purpose and glorify God.
1 Corinthians 3:8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.
Lord, I am human, fleshly, and fallible, yet You love me completely and unconditionally. Thank You. I am prone to taking credit for work that is of You and for You, getting my nose out of joint when my efforts are not recognized, yet You have made me a co-worker in Your service. Help me to live into that humbling responsibility. Help me to give You the glory in all things and always. Amen.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Have a blessed day.
